Located at 700m above sea level, this charming small wine hotel enjoys spectacular views over the vineyards, the hills and the Ionian Sea. The place is a true haven of peace where one can enjoy the quietness and the beauty of the landscape.
The property belongs to the family Nicolosi d'Asmundo, winemakers since the XVIII century. One of the oldest wineries in Sicily where chestnut wood barrels are still used to age wine along with oak barrels. Its ideal position between Catania and Taormina makes it a perfect base to discover the Etna National park.
This Agriturismo offers guests the opportunity to stay in a beautiful Sicilian house, to observe the daily work in the vineyards or in the winery, to taste house wines such as Etna AOP white, red or rosé and of course to learn more about their production. You will appreciate the beautiful infinity pool and its extraordinary panorama on the terraced-vineyards, the elegant outdoor spaces, the refined decoration and the relaxed atmosphere. The chef of the restaurant proposes a daily menu of traditional and seasonal cuisine washed down with fine wines produced at the agriturismo.
Most of the ingredients come from own or local production, for instance herbs and vegetables are grown in the organic vegetable garden. The agriturismo produces also a delicate extra virgin olive oil known as "Nocellara dell'Etna".

THE ROOMS:
The historic mansion shelters a large living-room and 4 bedrooms distributed over the ground and first floor. Most rooms have a private terrace overlooking the delightful garden. The rooms are elegantly decorated; a subtle combination of styles from antique furniture to contemporary or design art pieces. All rooms are equipped with bathroom, air conditioning/heating, safe, hairdryer, docking station, Wi-fi connection and private terrace. Coffee and tea is at your disposal in the living-room. A buffet breakfast is served every morning. Do not miss your chance to taste the homemade pistachio spreadable paste!
