Located in the heart of the historic center of the town of Manduria, the property today belongs to the Arno' family, who after living for many years in France chose to return to their original lands and bring back to life the abandoned Palazzo. Built in 1881 in honor of the union between Countess Sabini da Altamura and the nobleman Don Tommaso Schiavoni-Tafuri, the palace saw the birth of the first bottle of Primitivo in its gardens thanks to the bride's dowry which contained certain strains of Primitivo.
A quiet and narrow street, not far from the main Piazza, takes you to this hidden boutique hotel. As soon as you enter, you will be won over by the splendor and refinement that characterize this palace; Living rooms decorated with neoclassical frescoes, large and high windows overlooking the English gardens, a stylish decoration, a beautiful swimming pool nestled in the wooded park and a Feng-shui layout. The word well-being is not only connected to Feng-shui, massage and relaxation but it also has a great importance in cooking.
A buffet breakfast carefully prepared with local products is served in the lounge or on the terrace in season. On the buffet, you will find delicious homemade pies, Ciambella, fresh cheeses, homemade biscuits and jams, breads of different varieties, regional cold meats, bruschetta, an interesting selection of teas and others dishes varying every day. The hotel is ideally located, halfway between Taranto and Lecce. From there, one can easily access to the towns of Martina Franca, Ostuni, Brindisi, Gallipoli and Nardò. Shops and restaurants as well as the beautiful Primitivo museum of civilization can be reached within walking distance. The coastline, from Marina di Maruggio to the Monaci natural reserve, is punctuated by dunes and beautiful sandy beaches bordered by clear water. It is also less busy than the coast of Gallipoli.
