This fortified masseria whose watchtower was built in 1577 by the noble family of "Gonzaga di Mantova" has been restored bearing in mind the preservation of the style and original structure specific to Masserias in Salento.
A stroll in the park surrounding the Masseria will give you the chance to discover a wild and generous nature sheltering a source and caves which offered refuge to exiled Minoans in ancient times and to the monks in the 18th century fleeing the massacres perpetrated by the Byzantine Emperor Leo III.
You'll appreciate this charming hotel for its refined atmosphere, its lovely swimming-pool surrounded by the countryside, its restful atmosphere, its ideal situation close to beaches and places to visit in Salento. The towns of Gallipoli, Lecce and Otranto can be reached within an hour. A delicious breakfast with seasonal fruits, typical Salento pastries, fresh ricotta, cold cuts and cheese is served in the dining room or outside, under the shade of the pergola.
