Bologna, Parma and Modena
Bologna, the city of a hundred towers, bohemian and lively capital of Emilia-Romagna, should be a priority destination for any visitor who loves Italian art, culture, architecture and cuisine. The city is the birthplace of tagliatelle al ragù, tortellini in brodo and mortadella. Bologna has the oldest university in Europe, nearly 40 km of superb colonnades, medieval towers, 11th century churches and a breathtaking museum of musical instruments, the San Colombano â Collezione Tagliavini. Emilia-Romagna also has pretty towns such as Parma known for its Parma ham and Modena for its Ferrari cars and traditional balsamic vinegar.

Ravenna and the Adriatic Coast
Large sandy beaches stretch along the entire Emilia-Romagna coast. Discover the charming village of Comacchio, located in the Po delta and called little Venice. Its culinary specialty is, among other things, eel in its countless versions. Rimini is above all the birthplace of the famous director Federico Fellini. His neighbourhood cinema, Cinema Fulgor, which appears in the partly autobiographical 1973 film Amarcord, has been nicely restored and reopened in early 2018. It is today a museum in honor of Fellini.
