This former Benedictine monastery dating back to the 13th century hosts today a discreetly luxury small hotel. The elegant decoration of the hotel is a perfect combination of design, modern and classic style. Located on the heights of Assisi, away from the tourist flow, this hotel enjoys beautiful views over the fortress of Rocca Maggiore and Mount Subasio. Beyond its pure historic and religious heritage, Assisi is an perfect base to discover the medieval boroughs of Spello, Bevagna, Trevi, Montefalco, Spoleto, Gubbio or Perugia itself. Inside the outer walls, the ancient monastery features a beautiful frescoed church, a courtyard full of Mediterranean fragrances and a delightful monastic garden. With its stone seats and lounge chairs, the garden of the hotel is a true islet of peace where everyone can relax and enjoy wonderful views on the suggestive surroundings. During the renovation works a number of Roman relics have been found and incorporated in the project of the wellness centre, such as a limestone staircase dating back to the 1st year B.C.
The six columns of the Roman amphitheatre that once stood here reflect into the deep blue water of the stone pool and give a magic atmosphere to the wellness area. The Turkish baths and the massage rooms are located inside the ancient vaulted cisterns. The luxury SPA distributed over a surface of 1200m² gives the chance to the hotel guests to discover a hidden historical heritage and enjoy the benefits of a restful stay. The lights, colours, scents and herbal teas contribute to a total relaxation. A truly magic and eternal space where the roman worship of water is still perpetuated. Different massages and treatments are offered.
The hearty buffet breakfast is served in the bar area of the hotel or in the courtyard in season; it consists in homemade (by the chef) tarts and cakes, fruits, pastries, regional cold cuts and cheese, yoghurt, different types of bread and freshly squeezed fruit juices. Other dishes like omelettes, salmon, porridge or French toast can be ordered for free "à la carte".

THE ROOMS:
All 18 rooms have a unique style, a mix of contemporary, design objects and classic furniture made by Umbrian craftsmen. The Executive Suites can accommodate 3 persons; One of the Privilege Suite is "decorated" with a 16th century fresco. All rooms are equipped with bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi connection, safe and minibar. Only the suites have a bedroom and a living-room.
