Housed in an 12th century abbey once occupied by Benedictine monks, this charming hotel is a true island of peace nestled in the heart of a preserved landscape.
The monastery offers splendid views of a hilly landscape planted with olive trees and Mediterranean shrubs. It is an ideal place to stay to relax in a natural setting of great beauty, go for hiking, taste the wines and gastronomic specialties of Umbria, visit medieval villages and cities of art. For your moments of relaxation, you will appreciate the tranquility of the gardens and the magnificent views of the countryside.
Passionate about art and deeply linked to the history of this abbey, the grandfather of the current owners decided in 1917 to buy this convent from the Ancajani family. Owned by the same family today and transformed into a charming residence, the monastery is managed by 3 sisters who are keen to enhance this historic house, to share with their guests the history of their family and that of the convent. The Romanesque church of the monastery is one of the most important monuments of the Valnerina.
Breakfast is prepared with local products and served in the pleasant dining room or outside in the cloister in season. It is possible to dine in the hotel restaurant or to reach on foot or in a few minutes by car typical trattorias located in the surroundings. From the hotel, one can choose between different hiking trails.
The valley is famous for the Marmore waterfalls but also for its river "fiume Nera" which has its source in the Sibillini Mountains and crosses charming medieval villages such as Scheggino and Sant'Anatolia di Narco. The hotel enjoys a strategic position in the Valnerina which allows easy access to the cities of Norcia, Spoleto, Cascia, Castellucio di Norcia and the Sibillini Mountains.

18 comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, housed in the former monks' cells and equipped with all comforts: bathroom, air conditioning, heating, TV, hairdryer, mini-bar. All rooms have a beautiful view of the countryside. With its period furniture, stone fireplace and lounge, the Abbot's Suite is the most characteristic room in the hotel. It is possible to book family rooms for 4 people.
